imagistic Launches Amari Cream Site

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CALIFORNIA – June 2009 – Imagistic has launched a new site for Amari™ Cream.

Developed by OB/GYN Dr. Jose Iparraguirre, Amari™ Cream is an over-the-counter product designed to be the "sexy, smart, and safe way" to help prevent the contraction of many common sexually transmitted viruses, including Herpes Simplex II, Human Papilloma Virus and Human Immunodeficiency Virus. Used along with a condom, Amari Cream is 99% effective.

Investors G. Howard Associates and Pacific Media Direct looked to Imagistic not only to rehaul their dated-looking, single-page commerce site, but also to establish a new brand identity by designing new product packaging.

Using recent focus group testing results as direction, Imagistic developed bright and appealing his-and-her themed product packets, housed discreetly in a totable tin. In addition, Imagistic created an eye-catching logo and compelling tag line that reflects the fun and sexy image the investors were looking to impart.
As well, Imagistic extended Amari Cream's new identity online with a clean, informative Web site built on Drupal, for fast deployment and ease of use. To tell Amari Cream's story in a visually appealing manner, Imagistic wrote and designed a Flash movie that greets visitors on the Home Page.

Michael Weiss, partner/CEO at Imagistic, had this to say of the engagement: [quote here]

Impressed with the end results, the investors have continued to engage Imagistic with a phase 2 extension of their Web site to include e-commerce capabilities and social media additions.

imagistic Launches New Site for Fuller Theological Seminary

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CALIFORNIA – July 2008 – Imagistic has launched a new site for Fuller Theological Seminary, located at http://www.fuller.edu/.

One of the largest multidenominational seminaries in the world, Fuller Theological Seminary is comprised of a diverse student body of more than 4,000 enrolled at seven different campuses, 86 on-staff faculty, and more than 25,000 alumni/ae serving in ministries and workplaces across the globe.

To assist in promoting their academic offerings, Fuller Theological Seminary looked to Imagistic to help create a site that provided prospective students, current students, alumni and friends, and the community a wealth of information and tools.

Kevin Goldberg, partner/CTO at Imagistic, recalls his first meeting with Fuller: "When VP of Enrollment Management Wendy Wakeman interviewed us for the job, she placed considerable emphasis on the need for exceptional information architecture. Through our pre-production efforts, we analyzed and codified the extensive breadth and depth of their existing content, thereby proving we were the right match for the full project. We delivered a site that is not only easily navigable, but solidly organized and implemented as well. I'm extremely pleased with the new Fuller site."

imagistic Partner to Write New Book on XML

Kevin Goldberg, partner and CTO at Imagistic, is currently writing a book on XML.

The 360-page book, titled "XML: Visual Start Guide (2nd Edition)," covers such topics as: the rules of writing XML, transforming XML with XSLT, XPaths, XML schema basics, real world XML, and more.

The product description on Amazon states: "The Extensible Markup Language (XML) is a general-purpose markup language. It is classified as an extensible language because it allows its users to define their own elements. Its primary purpose is to facilitate the sharing of structured data across different information systems, particularly via the Internet. Hundreds of thousands of readers learned HTML and XML from Elizabeth Castro. This update to her best-selling "XML: Visual QuickStart Guide," uses concise instructions and plenty of screen shots to teach beginning users all they need to know to write XML code, XSL, and Cascading Style Sheets, as well as providing the scripts required to generate each piece. For anyone wanting to learn XML and use it to generate dynamic Web sites, Castro's book can't be beat."

The book is now available for pre-order on Amazon.com. It is set to be published in September, 2008 by Peachpit Press.

The first edition of the book was written by best-selling author, Elizabeth Castro.

Michael Weiss Works the Seminar Circuit on Web Design and Planning

Michael Weiss, Partner/CEO at Imagistic, recently worked the seminar circuit with several speaking appearances on Web design and planning.

On June 4th, he conducted a seminar on Effective Web Planning through NPower LA. The seminar course description was as follows: If you are a marketing director or an IT manager, chances are you are going to have to deal with your organization's website. The directive will come from somewhere deep inside the organization: "We need to redesign our website! We are not using the Web effectively to reach our constituents." This seminar will focus on how to approach the development process for any website project. Here you will learn whether or not to outsource a web development project, how to choose a vendor, and most importantly how to develop and design an effective website that strengthens and extends your brand online and reaches out to your audience. We will discuss issues revolving around design, information architecture, integration with legacy systems, CRM and CMS solutions, eCommerce and much more. Our goal is that you will leave this seminar fully equipped to take on any website project.

On June 3rd, Michael held a seminar on Web design and Web development for the Southern California Minority Business Development Council.

He served as a facilitator on May 20-21 at the Managing Nonprofit Technology Projects II - West Coast event in Oakland, California, hosted by Aspiration and Idealware.

Michael Weiss is also a frequent judge for the Stevie Awards and conducts annual seminars at the Nonprofit Technology Network Conference, typically covering the topic of Web development. In 2006, he was quoted in BusinessWeek on the benefits of hiring a Web developer.
