imagistic Redesigns Web Site for Stop Cancer

VENICE, CALIFORNIA – September 2003 – In partnership with DJLA, a Los Angeles-based advertising agency, Imagistic redesigned www.stopcancer.net and launched the site at the organization's largest annual fund raising event, "The Weekend Classic" on September 12, 2003.

Dedicated to finding cures for cancer by providing funding for cancer research, Stop Cancer has funded many innovative research programs through monetary and in-kind contributions. Imagistic's main objective in redesigning the site was to educate users on the successes of cancer research and urge users to donate online. In keeping with that goal, the site highlights nearly 50 projects supported by Stop Cancer, representing research in all types of cancer from leukemia and lymphoma to prostate and breast cancer and many others. The online donation option is prominent on every page, driving traffic to a 3rd party secured donation engine.

Stop Cancer derives a large portion of its funding by hosting many elite and exciting social events throughout the year for both sophisticated and younger audiences. Imagistic's secondary objective in the redesign was to integrate and showcase these events to encourage attendance and support of these fundraising channels. The site is redesigned to enhance the user experience overall and provide new ways to interact with Stop Cancer organization online. New site features include:

  • A User Experience that highlights the Online Donations option
  • A Comprehensive Event Calendar featuring the variety of fundraising activities
  • A Member's Area with photo albums from past events
  • A Featured Doctor's section that showcases Stop Cancer's success stories
  • A Content Management System that allows for easy updates by Stop Cancer staff

Additionally, the site's new Look & Feel helps to reach out to a younger web-savvy audience in support of Stop Cancer's mission. Imagistic's redesign represents Stop Cancer's continuing plans to use the online channel in new ways to educate users and garner support for its events and fundraising efforts.

imagistic Redesigns the Mixitup.org Web Site for Teaching Tolerance

VENICE, CALIFORNIA – September 2003 – Over the past two years Imagistic has been working with the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) in designing and developing the center's online initiatives. In its 5th project working with the SPLC, Imagistic redesigned the http://www.mixitup.orgWeb site for the 2003 Mix It Up campaign.

In November of 2002, over 3,000 K-12 schools across the United States took part in "Mix It Up at Lunch Day", a campaign developed to help students explore new ways to identify and bridge the boundaries that separate people in every day life. The "Mix It Up at Lunch Day" campaign urged students to step outside of their cafeteria comfort zones and take a seat with new people to create a new experience for themselves and their friends. As part of the campaign, students used the web site to express new feelings and thoughts about the experience.

The updated www.mixitup.org site is the primary medium for publicizing the initiative and tracking response. Highlights of the site include:

  • A new Look & Feel that is consistent with all offline marketing and branding efforts
  • A Content Management System that gives the SPLC staff the ability to have better control of the site's content
  • Features such as articles, downloads, story submissions and e-cards to promote the campaign

The site is fully incorporated with and promoted by the teachingtolerance.org site in accordance with SPLC's integrated online strategic approach.
